The 25th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off December 1, 2012 with the Jingle Jog followed by the annual Gala on December 3, 2012 – see below for the full schedule of events.

Opening Reception
One of the Lowcountry’s premier holiday events! Beaufort’s kick-off to the holiday season begins with the Opening Reception and Gala for the 25th Annual Festival of Trees is Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:30 – 9:00 PM. The night begins with a preview the silent auction between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Celebrate the season with excellent food from local restaurants, beer and wine, live music from Beek Webb and Company and, most importantly, the unveiling of the Trees. The festival is held at the Charles Lind Brown Neighborhood Activity Center, 1001 Hamar Street, Beaufort, SC.

Saturday: 10am until 4pm

Holiday “Butts”
Dine on some of the best barbecued pork in the state while supporting the Festival of Trees benefitting Friends of Caroline Hospice. Order you Holiday Butt by email at holidaybutts@gmail.com (pay at pickup) or by mail at Festival of Trees, PO Box 363, Beaufort, SC 29901 (please include check with order or pay at pickup). Last day to order – Friday, Novermber 23, 2012. Pickup 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Charles Lind Brown Activity Center at 1001 Hamar Street.
Saturday Kick-Off Event
5K Jingle Jog and 1 mile Fun Walk/Run
All ages welcome on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Port Royal Farmer’s Market. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. . Among the prizes awarded will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male and female 5K winners, best seasonal costumes and best stroller decorations. Sponsored by the Town of Port Royal, The Helena House, Port Royal Piggly Wiggly and Ehrlich Pest Control. Register on active.com between November 1, 2012 and November 23, 2012 to receive a Jingle Jog t-shirt.
Events During the Festival
Gift & Gourmet
Purchase delicious baked goods, crafts, gift baskets, Christmas gifts, books, wreaths, jewelry and so much more!!! These donations are graciously given by area neighborhoods, churches and residents to benefit Friends of Caroline Hospice.
Lunches
Palm Key Catering provides lunches for the festival. Bring your office staff or come enjoy lunch with your friends and remember to come more than once, as the menu changes daily!
Trees for Sale
Our extravagantly decorated trees go on sale during the opening reception and are available for sale all week. Get tickets to the opening reception to ensure you have the widest variety of choices! This year, patrons of the festival will be able to purchase a tree for a military family as a small way to to say thank you for the sacrifices they make as their loved one serves our country.
School & Group Visits
Every morning the festival offers pre-scheduled groups the opportunity to view the trees at a discounted group rate. Santa is your tour guide! If you’re good, you may even get a candy cane!
Saturday Wrap-Up Events
Yoga Among the Trees from 8:30am until 9:45am
Join Shelley Lowther from Dancing Dogs Yoga for yoga among the beautifully decorated trees of the Festival of Trees benefitting Friends of Caroline Hospice on Saturday December 10th from 8:30am until 9:45am. Suggested minimum donation is $10 per person. All levels are welcome.
