The Festival of Trees, benefiting Friends of Caroline Hospice, is one of Beaufort’s beloved holiday celebrations. The 2014 Festival continues a tradition started twenty-seven years ago. The Festival showcases beautifully decorated trees that are judged for their originality and creativity. The Festival kicks off with an Opening Gala featuring a silent auction, music, wine, beer and appetizers from local restaurants.


The 27th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off December 4, 2014 with the Opening Gala. See below for the full schedule of events.

 

Opening Reception Gala

One of the Lowcountry’s premier holiday events! Beaufort’s kick-off to the holiday season begins with the Opening Reception and Gala for the 27th Annual Festival of Trees is Thursday, December 4th from 6:o0 – 9:00 PM. Celebrate the season with excellent food from local restaurants, beer and wine, music and, most importantly, the unveiling of the Trees. The Festival is held at The Shed in Port Royal.

2014 Festival Hours:

Friday, December 5th*       9:00 am to 5:00pm
Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves will be at the Festival 9:00am to 3:00pm

Saturday, December 6th    9:00am to 4:00pm
Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves will be at the Festival 10:00am to 2:00pm

*Pre-scheduled group trips are conducted in the morning hours.

Admission:

Adults                                         $5.00

Adult with Military ID                $3.00

Group & Youth                          $2.00

Children, under 2                     Free


Events During the Festival

Festival Shoppes

Purchase delicious baked goods, crafts, gift baskets, Christmas gifts, books, wreaths, jewelry and so much more!!! These donations are graciously given by area neighborhoods, churches and residents to benefit Friends of Caroline Hospice.

Trees for Sale

Our extravagantly decorated trees go on sale during the Opening Reception and are available for sale all week. Get tickets to the Opening Reception to ensure you have the widest variety of choices!  Patrons of the festival will be able to purchase a tree for a military family as a small way to to say thank you for the  sacrifices they make as their loved one serves our country.

School & Group Visits

The Festival offers pre-scheduled groups the opportunity to view the trees at a discounted group rate on Friday, December 5th. Santa is your tour guide! If you’re good, you may even get a candy cane!

Coloring Contest

Yoga Among the Trees from 8:15am until 9:00am

Join Elizabeth Vanderpool from ArtiZen Yoga for yoga among the beautifully decorated trees of the Festival of Trees benefiting Friends of Caroline Hospice  Suggested minimum donation is $10 per person.  All levels are welcome.

Book Signing and Festival Shoppes 10:00am to 2:00pm

Scavenger Hunt 9:00am to 2:00pm
