The 22st Annual Festival of Trees will be held December 6 – 11, 2010. However, there are numerous events leading up to the Festival.
Opening Reception
As one of the Lowcountry’s premier holiday events, this event is so affordable at only $35.00 per person! The Opening Reception for the 22st Annual Festival of Trees is Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. This event traditionally serves as Beaufort’s kick-off to the holiday season, offering a silent auction, excellent food from local restaurants, beer and wine, live music from Beek Webb and Company and, most importantly, the unveiling of the Trees. The festival is held at the Charles Lynn Neighborhood Activity Center, 1001 Hamar Street.
Silent Auction
Thanks to so many generous donors in the community, the silent auction has become a tremendous success! Our “Hot Spots” are shops that donate items to our silent auction. The bidding begins in these stores two weeks prior to the festival. So go in, bid, and don’t forget to look around at all the other wonderful Holiday gifts they have to offer…Remember ’tis the season for giving!
Events During the Festival
Gift & Gourmet
Offers delicious baked goods, crafts, gift baskets, Christmas gifts, books, wreaths, jewelry and so much more!!! These donations are graciously given by area neighborhoods, churches and residents.
Breakfast with Santa
Even though Santa is very busy this time of year, helping the Festival of Tress raise money for Friends of Caroline Hospice is very important to him. So have some pancakes and get your picture taken with the jolly good man himself!
Lunches
Debbi Covington of Catering by Debbi Covington provides lunches for the festival. Come enjoy lunch with your friends and remember to come more than once, as the menu changes!
Trees for Sale
Our extravagantly decorated trees go on sale during the opening reception and are available for sale all week. Get tickets to the opening reception to ensure you get the widest variety of choices!
School Visits
Every morning the festival offers groups to come view the trees or a discounted group rate. Santa is your tour guide! If you’re good, you may even get a candy cane!
